verveNails - Press-On Nails Size Guide & Application Tutorial

How to Measure Your Nail Size

Getting the right size ensures your Press-On Nails fit comfortably and look natural. Follow these simple steps to measure your nails accurately—no professional tools needed!

How to measure nail size: Wrap a soft ruler around the widest part of the nail

Example: Measure the widest part of your nail with a soft ruler (or paper strip)

  1. Find the widest part of your nail: For most people, this is the middle of the nail bed (avoid measuring the nail tip or cuticle area).
  2. Use a soft ruler: Wrap a flexible soft ruler around the widest part of your nail, following its natural curvature. Record the measurement in millimeters (mm).
  3. No soft ruler? Use paper!: Cut a thin strip of paper, wrap it around the widest part of your nail, and mark the overlapping point with a pen. Then place the paper strip on a regular ruler to get the measurement (in mm).
  4. Measure all 10 nails: Sizes can vary between fingers (e.g., middle finger is often wider than the pinky). Write down each finger’s measurement to match our size chart.

Using Nail Jelly Glue

  1. Nail Prep - Filing: Gently file nails to remove oil/shine (boosts adhesion; avoid over-filing to protect nail beds).
  2. Nail Cleaning: Wipe nails with an alcohol pad to remove dust/residual oil; keep dry.
  3. Choose Glue: Pick double-sided jelly glue matching nail tip/nail bed size and curve.
  4. Apply Glue: Peel one side of the glue’s film; align the exposed side at 45° to nail base, press slowly toward the tip (cover nail bed fully, no misalignment).
  5. Press to Secure: Hold the glued area (finger/tool) for ~40 seconds to expel air and ensure firm bonding.
  6. Finish: Check adhesion—no lifted edges/air bubbles = success.

Removing Nail Jelly Glue

  1. Gently Peel: Use a wooden cuticle pusher (or blunt tool) to slide into the gap between nail tip and natural nail; slowly lift/peel from the side (use light force to avoid damage).
  2. Clean & Save: Remove leftover glue on nails with intact glue from the tip (use its sticky side); store intact glue for reuse.

Glue Application Method

  1. Gently buff the natural nail surface with an abrasive file.
  2. Clean the nail surface with an alcohol pad.
  3. Cut the glue tube tip to the desired size.
  4. Apply glue onto the artificial nail tip.
  5. Quickly place the tip onto the natural nail, sliding it from the cuticle area to the free edge.
  6. Press and hold firmly for about 30 seconds to secure. Done.

Glue Removal Method

  1. Prepare an adhesive remover and an orange wood stick (or cuticle pusher).
  2. Apply a small amount of adhesive remover along the inner edge of the artificial nail tip.
  3. Wait a moment, then gently use the wooden stick to pry up the edge.
  4. Apply a small drop of adhesive remover into the gap that has been created.
  5. Repeat the process of gently prying and applying remover little by little.
  6. Carefully lift and remove the artificial nail tip to complete the removal.
